I work side by side with companies around the world on a wide range of commercial law or intellectual property disputes before arbitral tribunals, French and European courts and/or in mediation.
Trained in mediation and in litigation, both judicial and arbitration, I explore the various opportunities to identify the most appropriate solution to the dispute in order to obtain the best possible outcome. This may entail negotiation, mediation or a third-party decision/award (judge, expert, or arbitrator).
My practice is focused on transnational dispute resolution, with a particular emphasis on litigation and arbitration disputes related to international trade. I have experience representing clients in a diverse range of sectors, including raw materials and energy, construction, transportation, and civil liability and intellectual property matters.
I am adept at navigating the complexities of French, Italian, European, and private international law. My practice covers the full range of dispute management, including complex negotiations and representation in proceedings before French courts in both civil and commercial matters.
I also handle all arbitration-related disputes, whether before, para or post-arbitration – typically annulment, recognition and enforcement proceedings – before French Courts - especially the judicial authority which supports arbitration (juge d’appui) and the Paris Court of Appeal (ICCP-CA).
When appropriate, I assist my clients in securing favorable settlement thought negotiation, so as to avoid litigation.
My goal is to establish a direct and close working relationship with my clients.
Not related anymore to any major structure, I guarantee both complete independence and full involvement in the cases.
Having learned alongside very authoritative and well-known arbitrators in Italy and in France, my path has led me to be appointed, since more than ten years as expert, sole arbitrator, co-arbitrator or president in institutional or ad hoc arbitrations.
Editorial secretary of Cahiers de l'arbitrage/The Paris Journal of International Arbitration (CAPJIA) since their creation in 2001. Together with the scientific and editorial committees and the publisher, we edit and publish four annual volumes consisting of articles written by authoritative arbitration authors and practitioners from around the world on national and international arbitration and mediation issues.
Since 2001, I have been compiling a fully comprehensive panorama of French case law on national and international arbitration and mediation, published in each volume.
I intervene in French universities, notably Université Paris X Nanterre and Université de Poitiers, on various topics, including French private international law, mediation, contract law (contract of sale, contracts, commercial leases) and non-contractual liability.
Before being admitted to the Paris Bar in 2002, I began my legal career in Milan (at Studio Bonelli now Bonelli Erede), working on French-Italian and international litigation.
Back in Paris, I joined Castaldi Mourre Sprague, handling all aspects of litigation (arbitration with Alexis Mourre and French and European IP litigation with Laszlo Bartok). Named Of Counsel in 2008, I managed teams in the firm on complex litigation cases, and started my own business, adding commercial mediation to my practice.
